Mission
The Teaching Transfer Initiative is an academic outreach pilot program led by Princeton University in partnership with local community colleges designed to encourage community college students to explore and transfer to four-year institutions.

This pilot program offers Princeton-accredited courses taught by trained visiting faculty at no charge on community college campuses to select students from those institutions. Each year, Princeton hires and trains recent PhDs as Teaching Transfer Associates(TTAs) to teach both regular community college courses as well as one Princeton accredited course, with the potential to be reappointed twice, for a total of three years. Associates offer advising, mentoring, and transfer information to students to serve the program’s broader goal of increasing the number of transfer students to four-year universities or colleges.

Community college students who are accepted enroll in the Princeton TTI courses at no charge and receive Princeton course credit, transferable to other institutions.
